Aql aur Dil

The Intelligent Heart, The Pure Heart: An insight into the Heart based on the Qur’an, Sunnah and Modern Science by Dr Gohar MushtaqI really love this piece of verse entitled “Aql aur Dil” (Intellect and Heart) by Mohammad Iqbal from the above mentioned book on pages 19-20.

“Intellect (brain) one day said to the heart:

‘I am a guide to those who have gone astray

Though bound to earth, I reach the heaven above Just see how far reaching is my sway

I am cast in the mould of the legendary Khidhr I am destined in the world to show the way

I am the interpreter of the book of life I am an attribute of divine display

You are only a drop of blood I am the envy of ruby’s ray.’

‘This is all true’, replied the heart ‘But look at me, be as it may

You look at the life’s trauma and drama I see through life’s white and grey

You deal with outer manifestations And I am aware of the inner fray

Knowledge is to you, intuition to me You seek God, I show how to pray

Limit of wisdom is restless doubting I am cure for the malady of dismay

You are a lantern to illuminate a spot I am a lamp to illuminate the path

You deal with time and space I deal with Judgement Day

To what lofty place do I belong? I am the pedestal of God Almighty, I say.’ ”

Sometimes we say, we must have brains but we forget that we must have a working heart to be brainy. We often hear doctors day a patient is ‘brain dead’.. some say vegetable or just vege.. but never ‘heart dead’. Because if we’re ‘heart dead’, obviously we’ll be DEAD! But when we’re ‘brain dead’, the heart is still pumping.. only that the brain is unable to send signals to other parts of the body to fully function in other aspects.

Question : Is the brain mightier than the heart OR Is the heart mightier than the brain?
Answer : Read The Intelligent Heart, The Pure Heart.. ;P

Just For Fun

An English pronunciation test, which was first found on a British newspaper (no credits goes to me, evidently! I'm just sharing it with you..).. which I found to be very interesting.. ;)

I take it you already know
Of tough and bough, and cough and dough?
Some may stumble, but not you,
On hiccoughthoroughslough and through?
So now you are ready, perhaps,
To learn a less familiar traps?
Beware of heard, a dreadful word
That looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead, it's said like bed not bead;
For goodness' sake, don't call it deed!
Watch out for meat and great and threat.
(They rhyme with suite and straight and debt.)
moth is not a moth in mother,
Nor both in botherbroth  in brother.

Can you pronounce the bold-ed words correctly?
If so, hurrah for you!
If not, check the dictionary for further explanation.
Haha, enjoy.!

Hope you enjoyed that..  I had.. ;)

Facebook??

What If the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم Added You as a Friend?

Would you press accept?

Or would you stay awake late at night, pondering it before you slept?

Will you be tempted to press ignore?

... Will you feel at war?

Will you feel happy that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم thought of you as a part of his ummah, his friend?

Will you start to make amends?

Or will you be worried about what he will think of your profile?

Will it become your biggest trial?

Will you finally delete that horoscope application?

Will you change your favourite quotes to glorify creation?

Will you delete those late night webcam pictures without the hijab?

Will you look at your life and feel a stab?

As you add the qu’ran as your favourite book?

Will you feel like a fake, a crook?

Will you take a few days to make sure everything is within Islamic law?

Will your heart finally begin to thaw?

Will you delete your old conversations?

Or will you feel nothing at all and continue following your temptations?

Will you press ignore, And not think about it anymore?

No reason to worry about that possibility occurring

The prophet has long departed

But ALLAH is always there Watching you and listening to your prayers

You don’t need to add Him as your friend With Allah,

you can never hide or pretend,

He doesn't need your permission to view

Your wall-to-walls, your pictures, your comments, and your statuses too..

let's make your facebook as a FITNAHBOOK DAKWAHBOOK.

Hijab

HIJAB? what is HIJAB? (Hijaab (Muslim Veil), Hejab (An Act of Faith), Islamic dress for women)

There are many sisters who have failed to understand the actual meaning of Hijab (Hejab). Hijab technically means covering. Islam desires the preservation of social tranquility and familial peace. Hence, it asks women to cover themselves in their inter-actions with men, whom they are not related to.

Most IMPORTANT about Hijab (Hejab) is that ALLAH has ordered to wear Hijab. For detail please see Noble Qur'an

"O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful".(Al-Ahzab: 59)

The pea is a splendid plant. It proudly displays its strong green Hijab (Hejab). It protects it from the hot and cold weather and guards it from insects. ALLAH has blessed the pea with a special Hijab (Hejab), because without it, the seeds would scatter, dry up and die.

The orange keeps itself within its shiny orange Hijab (Hejab) to protect its delicious fruit. Otherwise it looses its taste too.

So are the banana, the coconut and the pomegranate. Each one has an elegant and unique Hijab (Hejab), which protects it from disease and destruction.

The jewel of the sea, the pearl, has been given a very tough and rugged Hijab (Hejab) - oyster shell. It protects it from sea animals and keeps it sparkling and shining inside.

However, the most beloved of ALLAH in all His creation is the Muslim Girl who wears the Hijab. She knows it is a gift from ALLAH. It protects her from harm, injury and mischief. She wears it knowing it gives her dignity, beauty and respect. So precious she can be that she hides herself beneath her Hijab.

Do you wear a Hijab? Give it a try today

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) and not to show off their adornment except only that which is apparent (like palms of hands or one eye or both eyes for necessity to see the way, or outer dress like veil, gloves, head-cover, apron, etc.), and to draw their veils all over Juyubihinna (i.e. their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms, etc.) and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons, or their (Muslim) women (i.e. their sisters in Islam), or the (female) slaves whom their right hands possess, or old male servants who lack vigour, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And all of you beg ALLAH to forgive you all, O believers, that you may be successful".(An-Nur : 31)

RM50 Lesson

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a RM50 bill.

In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this RM50 bill?"

Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this RM50 to one of you but first, let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the RM50 bill up. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went into the air.

"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth RM50.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless.

But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will and shall never lose your value..

The Starfish Story

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?".

The youth replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die.

"Son, the man said, don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can't make a difference!

After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said :

"I made a difference for that one."

Forget the past and move on..

A wise man once sat in the audience and cracked a joke. All of them laughed like crazy.

After a moment he cracked the same joke again and a little less people laughed this time. He cracked the same joke one again and very few laughed this time. When there was no laughter in the crowd, he smiled and said "When you can't laugh on the same joke again and again and again, then why do you keep crying over the same thing over and over again.

"Forget the past and move on"

Believe HIM.. Only HIM!!

If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it.

If a problem cannot be solved what is the use worrying about it.

Always make dua to ALLAH SWT ..

because dua is a very powerful tool that we have been given by ALLAH SWT.

If ALLAH SWT has brought you to it, He will get you out off it too.

InsyaALLAH.

Believe HIM.. Only HIM!!
